Poem : Acceptance

One fine evening,
With gloomy face and reddened eyes,
I sat disheartened
In one abandoned bench
Of a park nearby,
I met a stranger
From a strange land,
He sat beside me
On that bench
Under the shady tree
Telling me stories
Of his people and land.
He went on and on
And I listened
With full attention,

With my mouth wide open,
I was lost in his world...
I lost track of time
And I came into my world
When he asked me,
'Tell me dear,
Do you like my world?'
'I wish I were a part of your world -
where my imperfections
 are never pointed out
and I am accepted
 for who I am.'
I replied and walked away.
